Visit from Board of Directors from Rivatex East Africa Limited

Board of Directors from Rivatex East Africa Limited visited EPZ Athi River as part of their fact-finding mission to understand the various fabric requirements of the EPZ apparel manufacturers.
Rivatex, which is undergoing a modernization program will see its milling, spinning and finishing machinery upgraded to operate at high efficiency, producing up to 30,000 meters of fabric a day.
The upgrade will further make Kenya a competitive fabric sourcing market in the region while improving on the local supply chain.
An improved and developed local supply chain will reduce the high over-reliance by the county’s textile sector on imported fabric mainly from countries such as Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and China among other Far East countries.
