EPZA SIGNS MOU WITH TAITA TAVETA COUNTY TO ESTABLISH AN EPZ
Mr. Paul Gicheru, Board Chairman, EPZA and Governor Granton Samboja display MoU signed documents towards the establishment of Voi EPZ in Taita Taveta County. The County has set aside 250 acres for EPZ purposes.
The proposed Voi zone’s location is strategically located and is expected to attract a variety of export-oriented investors especially those seeking to locate near their source of raw materials. It will also be an attractive zone for investors keen to reduce on some of the logistical operations that they may encounter such as reaching to the Port of Mombasa.
Also present to witness the signing are Mr. Henry Obino, Ag. CEO, EPZA, EPZA Board Directors and other County officials.
Taita Taveta County is rich in a variety of resources which can be tapped for processing a variety of value-added products.
The EPZ Authority has developed COVID-19 Workplace Guidelines in response to the new Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). To contain the spread of the virus within the Authority, measures have been put in place in accordance with the Government of Kenya (GoK) Workplace Guidelines on Covid-19 Pandemic. These measures are expected to contain and decrease the spread of COVID-19 and lower the impact in our workplace by preventing and reducing the transmission among employees, maintaining a healthy work environment and maintaining healthy and sustainable business operations.

the EPZ Developers’ Forum that aims at providing a platform for engagement between industrial warehouse
developers, EPZA, and service providers on the development of EPZ Industrial warehouse, with a focus on
Garment Manufacturing.
