A delegation from Family Bank Limited led by Mr. Titus Muya, the bank’s Founding Chairman/Board member and Ms. Rebecca Mbithi, the Chief Executive Officer toured EPZ Authority to familiarize with the EPZ program. The team was received by Mr. Paul Gicheru, Chairman, EPZA and the management team led by Mr. Stephen Odua, the Ag. Chief Executive Officer at EPZ Athi River. Ms. Mbithi said one of the bank’s main focus is the manufacturing sector where it is keen on financially supporting the value chain. She noted that the EPZ program is an integral part of Kenya’s manufacturing sector which the bank has the capacity to support the EPZ enterprises through its wide range of trade financing products.
Key sector areas that the bank has been working with, are pharmaceutical and agribusiness – also dominant activities in the EPZ program. The team also toured Meru Greens Horticulture EPZ Limited, involved in the processing of canned french beans for the export market.
