EPZ Authority participated in the Nyandarua County Farmers Trade Fair held on 12 – 13th April 2018 at Engineer Stadium in Engineer town, Nyandarua County.
The event, organized by the Kenya Livestock Producers Association (KLPA) in collaboration with Nyandarua County Government offered EPZA a platform to network with various stakeholders in the agriculture sector, create backward linkages and inform on the available investment opportunities in the agro-processing sector.
The agro-processing is the second-best performing sector in the program contributing more than 20 percent of the EPZ exports.
The trade fair also provided an opportunity to three EPZ enterprises in the agro-processing sector to showcase their export products.
Meru Greens EPZ Limited displayed canned French beans while Vertical Agro EPZ Limited and Forest Gate EPZ Limited, showcased a variety of fresh vegetables, herbs and flowers.
