The Government of Kenya launched Vision 2030 in 2008 as Kenya’s development blueprint covering the period 2008 to 2030. It is aimed at making Kenya a newly industrialized, “middle income country providing high quality life for all its citizens by the year 2030”. In the Third Medium Term Plan to be implemented between the years 2018 – 2022, the government conceptualized the Big Four Agenda; food security, affordable housing, manufacturing and affordable healthcare for all. The Export Processing Zones Authority (EPZA) hereby referred to as the “Authority” manages the Export Processing Zone (EPZ) Programme that was established by an Act of Parliament (Cap 517, of the Laws of Kenya) in 1990 with the aim of easing impediments to export oriented investments within designated zones. EPZA as an export oriented industrial entity is at the fore front of championing the achievement of the Big Four Agenda by facilitating and promoting Industrialization. Constructing affordable houses within the EPZ will promote industrialization through linkage of work, play and living areas in addition to providing affordable housing to the workers within EPZ and the surrounding community.
- The Export Processing Zones Authority HEREBY invites sealed bids from reputable, interested and competent firms to undertake the development of a Housing Estate to be undertaken through Joint Venture Partnership
- The RFP document can be obtained free of charge between 0800 hours and 1600 hours on all working days from the Procurement Department. The RFP document can also be downloaded from the official website of EPZA https://epzakenya.com
- Complete Bid Documents enclosed in plain sealed envelopes and clearly marked :

PROPOSALS MUST BE SUBMITTED NOT LATER THAN THE FOLLOWING DATE AND TIME: 20TH DECEMBER 2019 AT 11:00AM
4. Bulky documents that cannot be deposited in the Tender Box can be physically delivered to EPZA Administration Building, Procurement Office, and clearly marked on the envelope: DO NOT OPEN BEFORE 20TH DECEMBER 2019, 11:00 AM EAST AFRICAN TIME.
5. The opening of the submitted bids will be done immediately thereafter in the presence of Bidders or their appointed Representatives who choose to attend the opening at the Board room.
6. The Bidders shall bear all the costs associated with submission of their Request for Proposal documents.
7. Export Processing Zones Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all RFPs without assigning any reasons.
8. Submission of the Bids must be consistent with the RFP document in the website.
9. Bids received after closing date and/or time shall not be accepted.
