Off-site facilities

As an investor at the zone, you can take advantage of the excellent industrial facilities provided. All necessary infrastructure and services are readily available, including:

  • Serviced land for lease (62 x 1 hectare plots)
  • Industrial buildings (44 of size 1,000 – 1,500 sq. m)
  • Office block (5 storey with roof top restaurant, for rent)
  • Dispensary/health centre (operated by a private doctor)
  • Banking facilities at the business centre at the gatehouse
  • Electricity supply with sub-station, fire station, telephones
  • Water reticulation, storm water drainage and sewage disposal
  • Tarmacked roads with street lights
  • Zone cleaning and landscaping
  • Illuminated perimeter fence, 24hour security and on-site police post
  • Warehouse and gatehouse with customs and EPZA zone support staff
  • Food canteens for zone staff


In order to provide our investors with an integrated industrial facility, the Athi River Zone incorporates several off-site support facilities. These include:-

  • Water supply line, bulk storage tank and pump
  • Sewerage line and treatment works
  • 28 ha land for residential housing (available for lease)
  • 9.7 ha commercial area for shops, petrol station, restaurant, hotel, bus station, etc.
  • Vocational training institute developed by the Government of Kenya with assistance from Korea
  • Street lighting and widening of Namanga Road
